Service Description

Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and learn valuable skills to manage emotions, reduce stress, and improve mindfulness. One of the key aspects of our group therapy is creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. It's a place to find new ways to approach relationship challenges, manage emotional ups and downs, and build greater self-confidence. DBT is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) influenced by mindfulness principles from Buddhism. It emphasizes accepting life's imperfections and learning how to live more effectively in a world that isn’t always under our control. DBT is a well-researched, evidence-based therapy that helps you learn to accept yourself and move forward to achieve your goals. At the Vilnius Psychology Center, our goal is also to build a supportive community where each member can feel comfortable and be themselves. Group Structure: 15 min – Mindfulness Practice Each session begins with a 15-minute mindfulness exercise, which will change each week to give you a variety of calming techniques. This allows you to discover what works best for you and helps you build your mindfulness practice. 30 min – Sharing & Support This part of the group is for sharing personal experiences and offering support to one another. It’s a time to connect and learn from each other. You can choose how much you’d like to share, as we understand that everyone’s comfort levels vary. Whether you're more introverted or extroverted, this is a space for your unique experience. We value and respect everyone’s journey. 45 min – Skills Building In this portion, we’ll dive into practical exercises that help you build mindfulness, regulate emotions, manage stress, and develop healthy relationships. A key focus is on self-care and learning to apply DBT skills in real-life situations. Over time, you’ll work through all the key DBT skills, giving you tools to better navigate everyday life and emotional challenges. Ready to Join? If you're interested in joining our DBT group, please reach out to schedule a brief orientation session (info@vilniauspsichologai.lt). This is the first step for anyone new to the group.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for Group Therapy Orientations If you need to cancel your group orientation, please inform your specialist at least 48 hours in advance. The time reserved for your consultation cannot be changed or canceled within 48 hours, so to avoid any cancellation fees, it’s important to notify us as soon as possible if you won’t be able to attend. If you miss the orientation without notifying us or cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled time, we will ask for payment for the reserved session time in full. Once you’ve attended the orientation consultation and joined a group, individual group session cancellations are not possible. Payment is made for your place in the group, and if you cancel, we are unable to fill your spot for just one day.
